God has been good to me.

I am Author/Illustrator of Flip Flap Floodle. Even mean ole Mr. Fox can’t stop this little duck. I am thankful to the 13 people who gave me rave reviews for it on Amazon.
Hear Flip’s Song.

Joan’s Elder Care Guide, non-fiction release 2015 by 4RV Publishing.

Larry, the Terrifying Turkey, a chapter book will be released in 2015 by Ravenswood Publishing. (If you have any pictures of live turkeys, please share them with me.) I’m working on the illustrations for it.

My Website: http://www.joanyedwards.com has devotionals, crossword/wordsearch puzzles, and skits for Children’s Liturgy each Sunday of all three liturgical years.

On September 28, 2012 I presented a Blogging Basics” workshop at the SCBWI-Carolinas Conference. This answered a dream of mine to present a live workshop at that conference. It was awesome. I presented two blogging workshops and a revision workshop for the 2014 SCWW conference in Myrtle Beach. That accomplished my goal of being a paid presenter at a writing conference. My present goal is to be hired as the top key-note speaker for a conference.

In February 2012 I entered the Amazon contest for Young Adult Novels. I won to the second level with the Pitch for my Historical Fiction book, Immigrant Heart. It needs another run through of edits and I’ll submit it.

In 2013 I wrote a musical screenplay with 18 songs, “Against All Odds.” After writing freestyle, I thought a Screenwriting course might help. In 2013-2014 I took Hal Croasmun’s ProSeries 48 Screenwriting Course from Screenwriting U – Six months of great lessons. And I have another screenplay, a romantic comedy, The Perfect Couple. After I finish my elder care guide last edits, I’ll revise these screenplays and submit them.

Thanks for visiting my Never Give Up blog.

  7. Hi Joan,

I was reading the blog “Escaping the Inkwell” today and noticed a comment from you on one of the posts. Your name sounded familiar so to be sure I checked out your link and saw that I was right and you are a presenter at the Muse Conference with 4RV Publishing.

Although I won’t be active in your workshop I already decided to check it out when I can because I’m sure there is much that will be shared that will help me improve as a writer.

  12. Dear Joan,
I am gald to find you. I am a Jamaican teacher and writer living in New York and seeking a market for my collection of original short stories that speak of childhood and adolescence in Jamaica. I think they would be suitable for grade 10 in the high school curriculum and I would like to contact a publisher who could help me get them there. I also have a play about the 1831 slave rebellion in Jamaica

Thanks for what you are doing to help authors
