“Sit on Top of Your World – Fall in Love with Yourself” by Joan Y. Edwards

Here are a few thoughts to help put you on top of your world. During the last month I have felt so blessed. There are days I’ve gone around singing: “God, you are so good. Thank you. I am so blessed. Thank you.”

Here are a few quotes I found on GoodReads and Brainy Quotes that I believe will help you climb up on top of your world!

Renew, release, let go. Yesterday’s gone. There’s nothing you can do to bring it back. You can’t “should’ve” done something. You can only DO something. Renew yourself. Release that attachment. Today is a new day!
Steve Maraboli, Unapologetically You: Reflections on Life and the Human Experience

If you don’t think every day is a great day try going without one.
Jim Evans

Every morning, my dad would have me looking in the mirror and repeat, ‘Today is going to be a great day; I can, and I will.’
Gina Rodriguez

How could you have had such a wonderful life as me if there wasn’t a God directing?
Maureen O’Hara

Be true to yourself, help others, make each day your masterpiece, make friendship a fine art, drink deeply from good books – especially the Bible, build a shelter against a rainy day, give thanks for your blessings and pray for guidance every day.
John Wooden

On the recollection of so many and great favours and blessings, I now, with a high sense of gratitude, presume to offer up my sincere thanks to the Almighty, the Creator and Preserver.
William Bartram

Don’t block your blessings. Don’t let doubt stop you from getting where you want to be.
Jennifer Hudson

When you like something and you’re pretty good at it and you can make a living doing it, you don’t ask why. You just count your blessings and go with it.
Harlan Coben

I love the novel because it’s like a love affair. You can just fall into it and keep going, and you never know where it’s going to take you.
Daniel Alarcon

Fall in love with yourself. Instead of saying, “You stupid oaf,” take a deep breath and say “I love you.
Joan Y. Edwards

I’ve been working on the edits for Joan’s Elder Care Guide. It’s been an enlightening experience filled with much the same thing as in the quote by Daniel Alarcon. I just fall into it and keep going, and I never know where the edit is going to take me. I know that God is leading me, although at times I get very discouraged, but I know that ultimately my book is going to help many people, so I keep on going.

Be sure to take time for you personally. Not just your writing, but time to relax. Time to eat your favorite foods. Time to do things with your family and friends. Take time to live. I believe that each of us has only one lifetime. Live each day as best you can. If you can’t muster up a smile today. It’s okay. Love yourself. Accept yourself as you are right now. You’ll feel better tomorrow.

Whatever is facing you, you can live through it. Believe in you.

Please leave a comment telling me how you keep on going when things get tough. What activities help you fall in love with ‘you.”

Celebrate you.
Never Give Up

    • Dear Linda,
Singing is fun for me. I sing in the car, outdoors, and inside the house, too. Each thing you do for God is a song for him. Each thing you do for others is a song for him. I know from personal experience that you are a wonderful song for God.

      Thank you for writing.
