Celebrating over 10,000 Readers from October 9, 2009-July 1, 2011

During June, 2011, I passed 10,000 readers. That was one year and 8 months. Hip Hip Hooray! I am very excited and appreciate you. I appreciate all the spreading the word about my blog on Facebook and Twitter. It is awesome to think I started out with just one reader and worked my way up.

Thank you, God.
Thank you to my family.
Thank you to my friends.
Thank you to the people in the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators – Carolinas for reading.
Thank you to the people in the Muse Conference Board writers and illustrators for reading.
Thank you to all the children and adults I’ve met when I gave workshops and presentations.
Thank you to all the people who subscribed to my blog.
Thank you to my critique groups for encouraging me in my writing and my blogging: Wordmunchers and Savvy Wordsmiths.
Thank you to the people who educated and inspired me.
Thank you to each person who left a comment on my blog.

As a way of celebrating, I’m singing a song I made up for you: Let’s Celebrate. Click to hear me sing it: http://www.joanyedwards.com/letscelebrate.wma

Let’s celebrate.

Thank you for being here with me.
I love the way you talk.
I love the way you write.
You have a lovely way of greeting me.

Let’s celebrate.

You encourage me.
You inspire me.
You give me courage.
I’m happy and thankful you’re here with me.

Let’s celebrate.

Laugh, Dance, and Dream.
Draw, Color, Write.
Create, Love, Appreciate.
Let’s celebrate.

Let’s celebrate.
Let’s celebrate.

    • Dear Linda,
Thank you for celebrating me right back. It’s okay if you don’t sing me a song. You are funny. Just make sure you sing your own song for you.
Enjoy your day! It was made especially for you.
