Start a Good Mood: Watch a Funny Movie

Dear Honored Readers,

A good way to start a good mood is to watch a funny movie. I’m sure you have your favorites.  One of my personal favorites is:

My Cousin Vinny. My husband, Carl and I have watched it at least 40 times and laughed at each one. Just when Vinny thinks it’s going to get better, it gets worse.  Another movie that makes me laugh is Legally Blonde. The movie pokes fun at people who make fun of blondes and it pokes fun at them, too. The good guys win. I love that. A third movie that makes me laugh is The Proposal with Sandra Bullock. As I rewatch them, I notice how the writers get their humor across.

In case these three movies don’t tempt you to watch them for a humorous evening, try the following three lists.

1. The following article from Better Health News.com written in 2008 gives 61 movie titles that will make you laugh.

2. This link from FilmCheck.org gives the names of romantic movies that will make you laugh.

  1. Hi Joan,

Thanks for sharing some of your favorite funny movies as well as lists of so many more. Laughter is such a blessing. I was thinking today how much more I smile on days I see children’s faces than on days when I sit in front of the computer. I have a new philosophy: a child’s smile is the best cure for writer’s block.
