Walk for Fun and Health

“Walk for Fun and Health” by Joan Y. Edwards

Here are three reasons to walk.

Fun – see new things, meet new people,

Health – good for heart

Health – good to relieve stress

When walking be careful and watch your surroundings – red lights, step up and down for curbs, and walk when safe across streets at cross walks.

Reward yourself for walking.

  1. Good morning Joan. I enjoyed the reminders to pray for others as they go about their work. If we all did that, people would be surrounded with prayer all day, even if they didn’t lift one up of their own. The spring pictures were lovely. Keep walking and talking. It’s an uplifting ministry.

    • Dear Linda, Thank you for writing. I hadn’t thought of my walking and talking as a ministry. Thank you for saying that. I do hope my words and pictures will help others look at their lives with new hope and determination to complete their goals and tasks at hand with a smile rather than a tear, or a combination thereof.

  2. You walk in a lovely area, Joan. Doesn’t walking make you feel absolutely great?

    • Dear Jean,
Thanks for writing and for the compliment about the beautiful area where I walk. It is beautiful here in the Piedmont area of North Carolina. I love it here. It does make me feel great to walk. It makes me so thankful for all the gifts God has given me in my neighborhood and community.
Do something good for yourself today!
