Here are reminders about Pub Sub 3rd Fri – Week Two
1. Let your manuscript sit a week without looking at it while you do your cover letter, resume, and proposal.
2. Write your cover letter.
a. Write and include a 25 word or less pitch for your story.
b. Mention one book similar to yours and how yours will hook readers.
c. If you are a member of SCBWI, mention it in your cover letter.
3. Write your resume.
a. Include your snail mail address, phone number, email address, website, blog.
b. List all memberships in professional organizations.
c. Include all of your publishing credits.
4. If necessary, write your proposal. Look for 3 competitive books, list how your manuscript is better.
