Whimsical Wednesday 2

I’m late writing, so I thought I would do another Whimsical Wednesday.

I just read that ebooks outsold printed books 3 to 1 last week according to links in Publishing Poynters Newsletter link to http://parapub.com/files/newsletter/PP-ezine%201%20Jan%2010.pdf

It mentions that OREILLY.com and Amazon.com both list that ebooks are outselling printed books.

What does this mean to us writers and illustrators? What does it mean to traditional publishing houses?

It means we need to be flexible, smart, moneywise, and technology savvy.

On a whim, my husband and I went to see the movie “Up in the Air.” It was good. It had surprises in the middle. But we didn’t like the ending. It didn’t leave us with a satisfied feeling. I think good writing should leave the reader or watcher of a film satisfied. Perhaps they were holding off for a sequel. It was funny, sad, and entertaining. We just didn’t like the ending. http://www.moviefone.com/movie/up-in-the-air/34956/main?sem=1&ncid=AOLMOV00170000000020&otim=1262141810&spid=35202709

I bought a box of Jimmy Dean’s  egg, cheese, and ham omelettes today. They were delicious. 4 total carbs per serving. There are two omelettes in each box wrapped separately.  You just punch a hole in the plastic wrapping and cook in the microwave for 2 minutes each. Then cut the bag open and slide the omelette onto your plate. We really enjoyed them. https://jimmydean.com/sitecontent/omelets/2007/10/09/omelets-ham-and-cheese.aspx

Another thing I found that is good and has relatively few carbs is Arnold’s Multi-Grain Sandwich Thins. Both the Multi-Grain and the Whole-Grain are delicious. Today Carl made a sandwich with mustard and salami. I made a turkey and mayonaise sandwich. It’s really helpful for diabetics because two slices (the whole muffin) is only 16 carbs which would be one serving at meal time. I also made toast with these. They were really tasty. http://arnold.bimbobakeriesusa.com/Products/List.aspx?nCategoryID=22&nSubCategoryID=208

Breyer’s Double Churned Sugar-Free ice cream with Splenda is smooth and tasty. Remember Sugar-Free does not mean carbohydrate free. It’s still 14 grams of carbohydrates for each 1/2 cup of ice cream. http://www.breyers.com/#/flavors/

If your elder has a handicap Placard to hang over the rear-view mirror, you can purchase a hard plastic cover for it at www.Starcrest.com, Item 10-23016-7. You can get a set of 2 for $4.00. Mother’s always got bent, so one of these really helped it stay unwrinkled and did not get torn.

I hope you do something for yourself today, something whimsical, spontaneous, and fun..

May God bless you and fill you with joy, good carbs, and love to surround you.

Please feel free to write me a note below.

  1. 3-1 huh? HUMMM….maybe people gave ebooks for Christmas gifts for all those new Kindles, etc. Sounds like we should keep a watch out for future sales reports.
