What to Do When You’ve Strayed Away from Your Goal

You ask me what should you do when you’ve strayed away from your goal.

Many times in life, you may have been tossed or lead down a street that is no where near to your goal.  During this time, stay calm.  Rethink you goals.  Are you sure this is what you want to do?  What did you learn from this detour? Plan how to get back on the main road to your goal. Try not to blame people or circumstances. Take responsibility for being where you are. Lighten up on yourself and others. Do something fun for yourself. Share a skill with someone less fortunate than yourself. Proceed to your goal.

When you share with others, good things return to you. What goes around, comes around.

Laughing is good for the body, mind, and spirit. Laughter will take you three leaps closer to your goal.  It releases the pressure and makes it possible for your subconscious mind to get you to your goal.

(GPS systems) Geographical Positioning Systems are really good at reconfiguring new directions to your destinations. Your subconscious mind does this all the time. It figures out how you can still get to where you are going, even though you have taken a few wrong turns.  Just keep focusing on what you want. Keep it in your mind, thought, and prayers. Release all the antsy energy, can’t do it words, gotta do it or else words that create a lot of pressure for your mind and body to accept you where you are.

God knows where you are and how to get you to achieve all the things he wants you to do, too. Asking his help will insure a straighter path. If you feel strongly that you want to do something, chances are God wants this for you, too. I’m talking wanting to do good things. God has said, ask and you shall receive.

Believe in yourself. Believe that you can do it. Believe that you can get there. Belief is 98% of the battle.

If you have questions for me, please post a comment. I would love to hear from you.

  1. I can appreciate your thoughts. It is so easy to get sidetracked from your main goal and spin your wheels on a lesser goal that is going nowhere.

  2. Thanks for your comments, Janice. I appreciate your taking the time to tell me what you are thinking, too. Spinning wheels going nowhere is not fun. However, God somehow leads us back on the path to reach our goal.

Do something good for yourself, today.
